Our Story

Born from a traveler’s love for the Thousand Islands, Batumera was created to share the serenity and wonder of this archipelago with others. The resort’s founder, a long-time admirer of Pulau Seribu’s coral gardens and sea life, envisioned a sanctuary where guests could enjoy the same quiet luxury he experienced during his private escapes — surrounded by the ocean, yet embraced by comfort.

Our 18 cabins — 15 Deluxe and 3 Suites — pair minimalist architecture with Javanese-inspired interiors, where natural textures and warm tones create an atmosphere of calm sophistication.
At Santara Restaurant, the island’s culinary heart, we serve Indonesian favorites elevated by thoughtful preparation — from Nasi Tempong and Nasi Bebek Madura to freshly grilled Ikan Bakar by the sea. Whether indoors or beachfront, each meal celebrates both flavor and place.
